i'll be applying to a new york summer school thing this summer.... and i'm actually quite excited. i hope i'll get accepted though, it'd be a great experience (cliche, i know) and a whole lot of other great things that i'm not going to mention to avoid sounding like a broken record... i've already selected my course choices (we get 1st 2nd and 3rd choices) and i'm hoping i don't get my 3rd choices... even though i probably will since the application gates opened a month ago or something. there are two categories of courses: majors and workshop. i'm quite quite quite stoked for the workshop classes. i chose studio art, journalism, and writing new york, in order. i probably sound like the biggest school geek out but recently i've come to appreciate education and to be interested in learning... it's actually very shocking to me. but i'm glad about it. ish. but it doesn't mean i enjoy school... only sometimes on good days where the sun is shining and the birds are- lol no
i also have to write a personal statement to apply and i've looked up examples and everything, and it also made me further explore everything about universities and everything. i'm quite behind in my aspirations and all. but currently i'd like to study something in the path of english for my major and minor in art and math or something... it could always change though, you never know. also, the good thing about the summer school is that it has connections to some of the top unis in america, for example barnard, columbia, yale, NYU, etc etc. so it'd be recognized and i can find out more about those unis. yay
i'm also planning to be a part of school groups........... i tried out helping hands and it kind of bores me... yeah. i'm thinking project cambodia and habitat for humanity. also, maybe the beat. hehehehe
...growing up
you're such an inspiration, i wish i was as motivated and ambitious as you. you're gonna be something amazing one day, fiona. :)
